Hibiscus Society Inc. holds its meetings on the Third Sunday of the month
at different locations.

The AGM was held in August 2008 at Gympie. We had a
walk through part of the 12 acre property that perches on a sandstone ridge, to
see the indiginous native flora before the meeting and a sausage sizzle on the
open camp fire next to the house. Apart from the smoke not behaving itself and
going straight up, instead of targeting a few to annoy them, the day was relaxed
and enjoyable.
The committee voted in for the new year stands the same as last year, except for
the position of secretary and that has passed from Ray to Gail. (Ray had a car
accident and is recovering from a badly injured arm).
