Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Branch of the Australian Hibiscus Society Inc., meets on the 1st Sunday of the Month, at the Helensvale Community Centre, Discovery Drive, Helensvale, commencing at 1.00 pm, interesting displays of blooms and judging of same, followed by afternoon tea, and a friendly get together.
The first Sunday in December is reserved for the Christmas Party, and there is no meeting at the hall.

The Gold Coast Branch held their monthly meeting on Sunday 7th March 2010 at the Southport Yacht Club to celebrate their 20th Birthday, and the Buderim, Wide Bay Branches came down on a Bus, and the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Branches journeyed down by car, and there was a total of 45 members in all who attended to help the Gold Coast Branch celebrate the 20th Birthday.

Reg Cornwell, one of the original members who established the branch, told the members all about the establishment of Gold Coast Branch

John Richardson was also one of the original members and gave an interesting talk all about the events leading up to the establishment of the branch
